Students acquire the academic qualification for admission to practise as a lawyer. The course is suitable for students wanting legal knowledge and skills for work in other occupations. First year provides students with foundation skills and knowledge for the study of law. In final year, students choose from electives that enable them to develop specialist knowledge through the study of legal issues directly affecting society. When combined with an arts major, students graduate with a broad knowledge of society and culture, and key skills in communication, research and critical analysis.
