Career opportunities

An honours degree prepares you for the higher research degrees and a career in academic research. Equally, it is highly regarded by employers and well recognised as a step beyond a traditional undergraduate degree in the application of theory and practicum. As a graduate with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, you will be able to pursue work in a broad range of sectors including the government, international organisations, media, political parties, a range of business environments and the not-for-profit sector. An international relations qualification gives you a huge range of employment options in Australia and internationally.
